Car Dealerships

One of the biggest mistakes EDE sees at car dealerships is the dealership ignoring the interior lighting through the dealership.  Another issue we address often at car dealerships is service bay lighting.  A well-lit service bay will have a minimum of 50-footcandles of light 3’ from the work surface.  We find 20 - 25 footcandles light to be common, and this does lead to a poorer quality of work when the service bay workers are over 40-years of age.

EDE's approach with dealerships is to redesign the showrooms and service bay light to meet the target light levels that will sell more cars (80 - 100 footcandles) and flush out the most noticeable issues in the service bay (50-footcandles plus).
